During our last Advisory Council it was brought to our attention that River Dell has an opportunity to be more diligent and save our school some money. Many of you may already utilized the k12 payment on line for school lunches.
What you may not know? If you don’t have a minimum account threshold set up and your child goes to buy lunch and there is ZERO funds available, the child is given lunch and those funds are lost. There is no way to repay the school and we are writing checks monthly upward of$300-500 to have RDE pay for these lunches.
How can you help? Please utilize the on line payment and set a minimum of even $2-3 dollars so your account never goes to zero, ensuring the River Dell is paid for the lunch.
Additionally, the office out of the kindness of their giving hearts has set up an emergency fund to use if your child has forgotten lunch money. Reimbursement is much appreciated.
We all forget once in a while, but if we all make an effort to ensure payment and use this online payment system we hope to see improvements on the utilization of valuable monies being used to cover lunches.

Another way to get there is to go to Johnston County Schools website. Under the parent tab at the top left click, then open the nutrition tab, pick River Dell Elementary and you may set up your account!
